SEBOSOFT: A compound based on sodium polyacrylate and sebacic acid. Sebacic acid is a decarboxylic acid with properties similar to azelaic acid. It has marked antimicrobial properties, and is capable of reducing follicle hyperkeratinisation. Sebosoft is able to rapidly block Propionibacterium Acnes, while at the same time, preventing the undesirable effects often caused by numerous anti-acne products, such as dehydration and skin irritation. Sebosoft helps normalise the hydro-lipid film, and helps restore physiological surface hydration.
AC. NET COMPLEX: Combination of oleanolic acid and Nordihydroguaiaretic acid (NDGA) in an osmotic gel. Oleanolic acid inhibits 5-α reductase to combat hyperseborrhoea. NDGA is a cell growth regulator that inhibits hyperkeratosis and inflammation. The osmotic gel helps control bacterial growth.
SEBOMINE SB12: A compound based on: Potassium Thiocinate, Lactoferrin, Lactoperoxidase, Glucose Oxidase, and Glucose Pentacetate, active on bacteria, yeasts and moulds, partly responsible for sebaceous hypersecretion, which it rapidly regularises.
AZELAIC ACID: Inhibits keratinocyte DNA synthesis; counteracts microcomedone formation; antimicrobial activity against propionibacterium acnes; counteracts hyperpigmentation from inflamed acne; has a sebo re-balancing effect.
SALICYLIC ACID: Acts as a keratolytic by selectively breaking the keratin protein chain present in corneocytes. Since it has no effect on other proteins, the active ingredient only destroys and exfoliates corneous cells, and is therefore well tolerated by the underlying, keratin-free cells. Salicylic acid penetrates inflamed wounds, where it has a drying and antibacterial effect, thus also making it applicable in the acute inflammatory state.
GLYCOLIC ACID: Reduces cell cohesion between corneocytes; restores physiological epidermal cell turnover; prevents blackhead formation; facilitates blackhead removal.
MANDELIC ACID: It slowly penetrates into the skin, and has bacteriostatic and sebostatic properties at the level of the pilosebaceous follicle. Being an AHA, mandelic acid promotes cell turnover and epidermis renewal without causing irritation and burning. It clears the skin surface of debris, bacteria, and dead cells, preventing the formation of blackheads and creating ideal skin conditions to counteract the proliferation of acne.
VIT PP: Anti-inflammatory, antibiotic (comparable to clindamycin, but does not create antibiotic resistance in bacteria), and sebum-regulating properties. Promotes the restoration of physiological surface hydration.
ALLANTOIN: Defined as a "cell-proliferant" because it controls the formation of epithelial tissue. It has keratoplastic, emollient, soothing, and antioxidant properties.
