RETINAL (Cyclodextrins): Activates cell turnover, normalises hyperkeratinisation, reduces inflammation, facilitates the elimination of comedones, and has antibacterial properties.
AZELAIC ACID: Inhibits the DNA synthesis of keratinocytes, counteracts the formation of microcomedones, and has an antimicrobial effect against propionibacterium acnes. Combats hyperpigmentation caused by inflamed acne, and has a sebum-regulating effect.
SALICYLIC ACID: Aalicylic acid acts as a keratolytic by selectively breaking the keratin protein chain present in corneocytes. Penetrates inflamed lesions, providing drying and antibacterial effects, and facilitates the elimination of comedones.
GLYCOLIC ACID: Reduces cell cohesion between corneocytes; restores physiological epidermal cell turnover; prevents blackhead formation; facilitates blackhead removal.
MANDELIC ACID: slowly penetrates into the skin, and has bacteriostatic and sebostatic properties at the level of the pilosebaceous follicle.
PYRUVIC ACID: Thanks to its lipophilicity, it can penetrate deeply into the follicle and exert its bacteriostatic, comedolytic (facilitates the emptying of cysts and microcysts), and sebostatic properties (promotes the regulation of excessive sebum production). Reduces the greasiness of the epidermis, a common condition among patients with acne-prone skin.
